A Perthshire firm has sent Scots into fits of laughter over its hilariously rude name.
The septic tank emptying company’s van was snapped entering the town of Callander – displaying the full name Shyte Shifters Waste Management.
The snap was shared online and was liked more than 24,000 times, with 1,400 comments under it.
After going viral, the firm took to its own social media page to join in the hilarity.
They posted: “Thanks to everyone for the tags today with one of our vans going viral. A year and a bit ago I was told the name was “shyte” by folk and it wouldn’t work.
“Glad everyone enjoys the name and if it can put a smile on people’s faces I have done my job thank you. You made an old man happy.”
Social media users had a good chuckle at the snap.
One person posted: “I’ve seen this too. Had to have a second look to check I was seeing right. Love it. Best yet.”
Another added: “Saw one of their lorries last week and thought the name was brilliant. Next day I passed a mobile dog grooming van – Scrubadug.”
One user added: “We recently had to call in Shyte Shifters to help with our septic tank. Great guys with a good sense of humour. Suppose shifting it needs a sense of humour.”
The company’s website adds more fun, proclaiming ‘Who you gonna call? Shyte Shifters!’ – complete with a cartoon image of a man dressed as a Ghostbuster.
The company lists KFC, Royal Mail and Forestry and Land Scotland among its clients.
