Amazon’s Black Friday sale has started early, offering a range of fantastic deals including a 1kg pouch of Lindt Lindor Milk Truffles for just £19.69. This equates to only £1.97 per 100g, beating out major supermarkets such as Tesco and Ocado.
The Lindt Lindor Maxi Ball at Tesco is priced at £12.50 with a Clubcard, or £15 without, working out at £2.50 or £3 per 100g respectively. Meanwhile, Ocado offers the 1kg bag for £30 (£3 per 100g) and Lindt sells it for £26.25 (£2.63 per 100g).
Therefore, Amazon’s deal is the best value, with free delivery included. The Chocolate Silver and Assorted variations are also available at the same price and size.
The Assorted variation includes Lindor milk, white, extra dark and hazelnut chocolate balls, while the Chocolate Silver contains Lindor milk, double chocolate, extra dark 60 percent and salted caramel chocolate balls. If you purchase four bags, you can receive an additional five percent discount.
These chocolates have received high praise, with an average rating of 4.8 out of 18,051 reviews on Amazon. One satisfied customer commented: “Just delicious, they were well packed within a box so not melting. It has a good expiry date, the return policy is there if needed but these are going nowhere…yum.”, reports MyLondon.
One reviewer raved: “Bought these to enjoy over the Christmas period. I’ve had to hide them away or I’d eat them all straight away. Delicious chocolate, my favourite is the tiramisu ones. So yummy.”
Another customer praised the quantity, saying: “Highly impressed with the quantity! Made great additions to Christmas gifts :)”
However, some customers were left disappointed. One person complained that their assorted mix was mostly white chocolates, saying: “Ordered the assorted mix as I like the Dark, Hazelnut and Milk and don’t mind a few whites here and there, but the bag of chocolates was mostly whites, which was really disappointing. At least 50 percent of the bag was whites.”
They added: “Not sure if this was an error or whether the bags are just bulked out with whites to make the more profitable but I’ll play it safe and order milk or dark next time! Lindt will still always be my favourite!”
Another customer received the wrong flavour, saying: “Great but sent me the red chocolate ones not the mixed doesn’t matter will still eat them.”
You can purchase the Lindt Lindor Milk, Assorted and Chocolate Silver from Amazon here.
