(Gray News) – A recall of organic carrots for potential E. coli contamination has been expanded to include more products.

On Thursday, the FDA said Grimmway Farms added four more products to the recall, including:

  • Bunny Luv: 50-lb whole carrots
  • Cal-Organic: 15-lb and 50-lb whole carrots
  • Good & Gather: 1-lb whole carrots

An E. coli outbreak has been linked to organic carrots. The contamination has caused one death and sickened dozens of others in 18 states.

The recall was initiated last week and includes multiple brands of both whole and baby carrots produced by Grimmway Farms. The carrots were sold at multiple retailers, including big names like Target, Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts and more.

The organic whole carrots in this recall were available for purchase at stores from Aug. 14 through Oct. 23.

The organic baby carrots in this recall include from brands:

  • 365
  • Bunny Luv
  • Cal-Organic

  • Full Circle
  • Good & Gather
  • GreenWise
  • Grimmway Farms
  • Kroger
  • LIDL
  • Marketside
  • Nature’s Promise
  • O Organic
  • President’s Choice

  • Simple Truth
  • Sprouts
  • Trader Joe’s
  • Wegmans
  • Wholesome Pantry

The organic baby carrots in this recall have “best if used by” dates printed on the bags ranging from Sept. 11 to Nov. 12.

These products are likely no longer in stores but could be in people’s homes, the FDA said.

If you have any of these products, throw them away and sanitize any surfaces that they touched.

Symptoms of E. coli infection include severe stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever and vomiting.

They typically subside within a week, but in severe cases, patients may require hospitalization.
