Greek goal machine Christos Tzolis has warned Celtic that Club Brugge are ‘100 per cent ready’ form them after he smashed in four goals.

The Belgian prepared for their Champions League trip to Glasgow on Wednesday in the best way possible by annihilating Sint-Truidense in a 7-0 . Greek international dangerman Tzolis, 22, plundered four in a single game for the first time in his career and has now set his sights on in from Celtic ahead of their midweek clash at Parkhead.

He said: “We are 100% ready for Celtic. We have the right mindset for it. We have to be ready for a difficult match, but we just have to play our own game. We have already shown the qualities we have at that level. I believe we have just played our best match of the season so we are full of confidence. It is the first time in my professional career that I managed to score four times. I am very happy about that. I also appreciate that I was allowed to take the penalty too.”

Brugge skipper Hans Vanaken admitted he is relishing the prospect of playing Brendan Rodgers ‘ side in the Champions League in Glasgow. The Belgian international said: “We are all looking forward to playing at Celtic. It will be a great occasion and we are in a very good place ahead of it.

“After we lost our last game at Beerschot, this was the perfect response. What was pleasing was that we kept looking for more goals.

“We are all delighted for Christos Tzolis. We know his qualities and how good he is. Everything went right for him. Hopefully, he can do this again in Scotland.”
