I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here enthusiasts reckon one contestant may end up walking from the ITV series.

Saturday night’s (November 23) episode brought drama to a head with Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall after the arrival of late joiners Maura Higgins and Richard Coles.

After a lavish junk food feast following Maura and Richard’s covert task and a gruelling eating trial, Dean snoozed off, leaving tasks unfinished. Jane Moore, bound by camp duty, remarked, “I can’t do it on my own.”

Alan witnessed Jane set off solo and nudged Dean awake to lend a hand. Met with a foggy-headed and irate Dean, who responded minimally to Alan’s ask: “You don’t fancy it? No?” reports the Manchester Evening News.

With little reaction from BBC Radio 1 host Dean, Coronation Street’s Alan joined Jane fetching firewood to prevent her from being single-handed. Subsequently, as Dean caught up to them, he directed Alan: “You can go back now.”

Alan began by explaining, “I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could.”

Dean retorted, “Listen to me. If you’re going to wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright? It takes a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, alright, so you don’t need to turn around to me and say, ‘Do you not fancy it? ‘ OK? And then turn around and walk away.”

Alan came back with: “I’ve listened to you, Jane was halfway down here, that’s why I went…” only to be interrupted by Dean who countered: “Ok I get that but you need to give me a minute mate.”

The tiff didn’t end there as Dean expressed his grievances in the Bush Telegraph, remarking: “I opened my eyes and wee Tyrone from Coronation Street is like: ‘Come on, mate, you need to go down to the bottom of the creek.'”.

“He didn’t even give me a chance to say yes or no because he went: ‘You don’t fancy it? No? ‘ and ran. He was being a real camp leader. I was like: ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa don’t dig me out like that.’ And I had to say to him: ‘If you’re going to say: ‘Don’t fancy it? ‘ – give me a chance’.

“Because, of course, I fancy it. I want to help Jane. I went straight down and helped her.”

Later, there was a moment of reconciliation when Dean apologised to Jane before they teamed up to transport wood for the campfire. Reflecting on the exchange in his bush confessional, Alan conceded: “It was a flippant comment, I’m sorry if you took it in the wrong way. Wasn’t actually meant like that, it was just a bit of a joke. If I was asleep and you woke me up, I won’t fancy it either.”

But avid followers of I’m A Celeb reckon Dean’s recent clash with Alan might spell the end of his stay in the jungle. One fan tweeted: “Dean’s just earned himself the first elimination I think #ImACeleb.”

In agreement, another wrote: “So that’s dean being voted out first #ImACeleb #imacelebrity @imacelebrity.”

Further criticism came from someone else who remarked: “Of course, Dean had to ruin man he’s soo annoying and definitely needs to be the first one to be voted out of the jungle #ImACeleb.”

Others think Dean will walk from the show, with one tweeting: “Hopefully Dean McCullough will walk out, he’s insufferable. #ImACeleb.”

“Honestly isn’t it time for Dean to walk yet? He’s made himself look horrible this episode #ImACeleb,” someone else asked as another added: “Mark my words Dean will be the first to walk.”

The clash came just before Ant and Dec delivered some more bad news to Dean and Coleen Rooney.  After taking part in most of the Bushtucker Trials so far, the ITV hosts confirmed Dean would be taking part in tonight’s trial along with Coleen.
