Philippe Clement certainly has no credit left in the Hotline bank.

The Rangers manager admitted after the weekend draw with Dundee United that he’s used up his currency with the fed-up Ibrox punters. It’s hard to argue gauging the Hotline reaction as Jamie Thompson, Yoker, said: “I can’t remember a Rangers team as bad as this. Totally leaderless. If I owned this club, I’d walk into Clement‘s office and say not good enough. He has failed in his duty of managing this team.

“The investors who put serious money into this club have to put pressure on John Gilligan. He is out of his depth.”

Jimmy Mac said: “Another disastrous result against Dundee United who, in all honesty, Rangers should be wiping the floor with. A stadium full of boos at half-time, a manager given dogs abuse at the final whistle by those who remained to show their disgust at a manager not fit for purpose,

“Rangers are not only a football club, they are a globall football institution with supporters from all continents and losing three and drawing three from 12 league games never will be palatable for 99.99% of Rangers supporters. But there is the 00.01% who believe those results are acceptable.”

Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, said: “No Rangers manager would ever have survived this shambles. 11 points behind plus huge goal difference after only 12 games. If Clement survives this, he’s holding the winning lottery ticket.

“Where do you start? No No.9 or wingers, a full-back who can’t defend, wrong team selections. Everyone’s seen it coming everyone except a manager with excuses, an incompetent board with Gilligan leading the club to ruin. Only a clearout can rectify it.”

Dr Robert S Pender said: “We’ll win nothing this season, so why not bleed in some keen academy players. It may mean missing out on all European games next season, but means next year 100 per cent focus is on winning the league.”

Rangers fans wanting Clement replaced got a message from Killie fan Tom Paterson, Falkirk, who said: “Derek McInnes is being touted for the top job at Ibrox when Clement inevitably gets his jotters. Just to say Derek, I will pick you up at Rugby Park and personally chauffeur you to Edmiston Drive myself.

“Rangers fans should be careful what they wish for. I see a Hotline guy say he’s doing well at Killie. Has this guy seen us? We are dross. Any game we win is won ugly. I want a manager that tries to play attractive, attacking, passing football. Bring in John McGlynn from Falkirk. I won’t be back at Rugby Park until Del Boy is gone.”

Celtic are clear at the top after hammering Hearts and Kenny Wilson, Moffat, said: “Once again, some players were off the pace after the international break, but our quality showed in the end and it was a comfortable win. It was a great weekend for the champions.”

Not so for Hibs who remain rooted at the other end after their desperate defeat to Dundee and Hearts are just a place better off.John Scott, Grassmoor, had a comment on the Tynecastle skipper as he said: “Why does the game continue to treat supporters like fools?

“The Lawrence Shankland situation is a perfect example. He’s off to Rangers, if not in January, it’ll be a pre-contract on the table to endorse the discussions already held behind the scenes.

“You can’t blame him given he’s a Rangers fan so please spare us all the faux speculation on his next move. He’s heading to Govan. He knows it. They know it. We all know it.”
