PRINCETON, W.Va. -Since 2005 the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 628 has been setting up to sale Christmas trees to the public.
These real Christmas trees come from North Carolina in a variety of sizes to make sure everyone can find their perfect tree.
These Vietnam Veterans say this is a way they can provide for the community and providing for the community is what they live for.
“It’s just a service for the public. That’s really what it is for us, you know. We sell these trees. We don’t make much money on them, you know, but they cost a lot more than what they were when we first started, you know, back in 2005. But we still provide the service up until about the 19th of December,” said Jerry Midkiff, Vice President of Chapter 628.
Another veteran continues with saying he has even delivered the Christmas spirit before.
“Sometimes you can help someone out by delivering a tree…it feels really good to help the community out,” said Jery Whitt, Sergeant of Arms of Chapter 628.
