The DVLA has launched a new service that transforms car tax renewal, providing significant benefits to UK drivers.
The upgraded system now lets drivers tax their vehicles online even without a V5C log book or V11 reminder letter, which is a great advantage for those who have lost these documents.
It allows customers to request a new V5C and manage their vehicle tax all in one go through the DVLA ‘s website, as long as no updates are required to their ownership details.
Consequently, they can instantly tax their new vehicle and anticipate a replacement V5C by post, reports the Nottinghamshire Live.
Julie Lennard, Head of the DVLA, spoke about the recent innovation: “We are constantly seeking ways to enhance our digital services to offer more convenience to motorists. This latest improvement will allow customers who have lost or misplaced their V5C to quickly and easily obtain a replacement and tax their vehicle.”
Additionally, the DVLA has launched a feature that enables drivers to receive digital reminders when their vehicle tax is due, as part of its efforts to streamline online services through the Driver and Vehicle Account Service, reducing the need for traditional mail.
