A man who spent three years getting his home ready in case of any and all disasters has shared how the property looks now.
Doomsday prepper Sam reckons he’s got every situation covered. He has gathered seemingly endless supplies of food as well as defence items to ensure he’s “ready for everything,” as his TikTok handle – @SamBeReady – would hint. “I have acquired quite a few things,” he began in a viral video.
“I’ve been getting ready for natural disasters, economic disasters and political disasters.” With that, he showed off dozens of shelves packed with non-perishable food, ready for if the worst were to happen.

“We stocked up on a lot of the short-term foods you might use in a two to three month period – and stocked up on freezer foods, which you can store for a couple of years without having to worry.”
Sam has also taken the time to list the use-by dates of each frozen product, which he has penned on his appliances. Next, he showcased his defence section, which included a vast array of masks, tools and medication to help combat the effects of radiation.
“We’ve stocked up on home defence, family defence and self defence,” he explained. “We have a lot of things that people don’t think about – it certainly doesn’t hurt to be ready for everything.”
Sam continued his tour by detailing his water supply – stored in several huge containers. “You never know when your water might get contaminated,” he advised. “Even if you’re using well water, something could spill on the ground and contaminate it.”
More food followed in the form of long-term supplies with Sam’s space piled high with meal kits, each of which provide 14 days worth of adequate nutrition to survive. Any fears of Sam losing power to his appliances were allayed as he moved on to reveal a series of solar generators and backup batteries, as well as solar panels.
Closing, Sam also offered a glimpse of his supply of toilet paper, as well as “go bags” and first aid kits should his family have to flee the premises in a hurry. “This is definitely something you should be doing,” he encouraged.
“During the apocalypse finding this house will be awesome,” one TikTok user declared in response. Another commented in fear: “I love prepping. I’m nowhere close to this ,but one thing that scares me living on the coast is what if it gets washed away in a tsunami.” A third praised: “That’s a lot of money. well spent.”
Meanwhile, a cynic asked: “What if nothing happened?” suggesting his time and money will have been wasted. Sam duly responded: “Do you tell your car and home insurance broker the same thing? But you still pay that bill every month?”
