SULLIVAN, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – Authorities are looking for the driver of a semi-truck that they say was involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Missouri.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 60-year-old man was struck and killed on the side of Interstate 44 in Sullivan on Monday afternoon.

The accident happened just after 1:30 p.m. near mile marker 225, about an hour southwest of St. Louis.

Police said two cars were parked on the shoulder of I-44 when the semi-truck sideswiped both vehicles and struck the 60-year-old man, killing him.

Police said the semi-truck left the scene.

The semi-truck has the word “ego” marked on the trailer and has a maroon-colored cab. The cab has damage to the front passenger side.
