GARY, W.Va. – Any coal miner who wants to apply locally for black lung benefits will be given a chance to do so on Monday, Dec. 2.

A U.S. Department of Labor federal black lung outreach clinic will be held in two places in Tazewell County.

The first is set for 9 a.m, to noon at the UMWA Union Hall at 4018 Stoney Ridge Road, Bishop, and the second will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fuller-Peery Exposition Hall, Tazewell County Fairgrounds, 135 Fieldcrest Circle, Tazewell.

Coal miners will be given assistance in applying for benefits.
