Former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney has issued a warning to the I’m A Celebrity campmates over GK Barry and Dean McCullough.

Speaking to Closer magazine, the former I’m A Celeb contestant offered words of warning to this years contestants as he was asked what goes through his head during trials.

Dean said: “When people are screaming, like Dean [McCullough] and GK Barry, I’ve been in that environment – you do lose consciousness of reality. I believe [the screaming], whereas a lot of people in the forums are feeling it’s a bit OTT.”

He added that the campmates might have to get used to going without one thing: “As a nation, we always vote for the person that we feel is going to bring the most entertainment and be the most frightened, I think the camp probably will go hungry, because Dean and GK are a bit scared of their own shadow. You start seeing a very different camp when people don’t eat!”

Last Tuesday (November 19), GK Barry and Dean returned to camp empty handed after failing to pick up any stars during their gruelling Bushtucker Trial, after the podcaster was completely submerged in a tank as she tried to secure food for camp.

But, after competing in a slew of trials over the course of the current series, it was revealed to the celebrities later in Monday’s (November 25) show that Dean would not be competing in today’s trial, with Loose Women panelist Jane Moore and ex-Love Islander Maura Higgins being voted by the public to take on the trial instead.

Meanwhile as Dean revealed his thoughts on Radio DJ Dean McCullough and GK’s lack of success during trials, he said that he has been particularly impressed with by contestant, adding: “I think they’ve got some good people – it’s great they got Coleen (Rooney). There’s not much she can do wrong. I watched her documentary (The Real Wagatha Story) and she and Wayne just came across as really humble.”

I’m A Celebrity airs every night of the week, with the next episode due to broadcast on ITV 1 tonight at 9 pm.
