RESCUE seal pups have been tucking in to fish suppers after a seafood firm donated 1.5 tonnes of mackerel to the sanctuary.

Caithness Seal Rehab and Release, which rescues and rehabilitates seals before releasing them back to the wild, received the donation from Denholm Seafoods in Peterhead.

The charity, based at Brough, is the only seal sanctuary in Caithness and spent £13,000 on fish alone for their seals last year.

Seafood company has donated a massive amount of fish suppers – to a Scottish seal rescue sanctuary.

The charity project is run by husband and wife Clare and Phil Boardman and nine volunteers.

She said: “This saves us a huge cost.”
