Hearts will be in Brugge this week as they look to make the most of their European escape.

The domestic scene has been tough on the Jambos, who sit second bottom in the Premiership standings. But the continent has provided somewhat of a tonic with two wins from their three Conference League outings – which is as many victories they have earned back home. Bundesliga outfit Heidenheim ran out 2-0 winners at Tynecastle last time out with Hearts currently 12th in the league phase table. Back-to-back defeats to Celtic and Rangers have not help improve things but a trip to Belgium could be the reset they need.

Cercle Brugge are struggling themselves on home soil and currently occupy the relegation group spots in the Jupiler Pro League. So both sides will be desperate for a morale boost that can kickstart their league form and push them closer to the top eight slots in the Conference League table.
