A bar in a Spanish tourist hotspot has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a short clip advertising its extremely cheap beer deal.
The video, posted by Sun Lounge Lanzarote, shows a frosty pint on a sun-soaked veranda, with the caption “Only €1 for a pint??”
It’s had over 180,000 views since it was first uploaded, and a similar video shared more recently has also racked up an impressive 90,000 views as well as a host of comments from thirsty holidaymakers, Birmingham Live reports.
The one euro pint deal applies to a Spanish lager called Tropical. However, Estrella is also in the promotion too for €1.50 a pint. Right now, one euro converts to 83 pence, meaning Brits will pay that for a pint of Tropical in sterling and around £1.25 for an Estrella.
One person commented: “See you in November for my 50th!” and others expressed amazement at the cheap price of the drinks. The bar’s happy “hour” actually runs from 12-5pm every day, and as well as cheap beer they also offer cocktails for just €5 (£4.16).
Another fan of the bar wrote: “I was in last week trying nearly every cocktail on the menu and these pints great place great staff a must go to if in Lanza.”
EasyJet, TUI and Jet2 all operate direct flights to Lanzarote from Glasgow Airport, and easyJet flies directly from Edinburgh Airport.
The Sun Lounge is straightforward to find: it is nestled on the strip in Puerto del Carmen right at the foot of the well-known Cardiac Hill – the local name for Calle Guanapay.
The bar has 22 five star reviews on Facebook with many visitors raving about how family friendly it is. One recent guest wrote: “Great bar. Sam and the team are very friendly. Good bar for kids and adults to enjoy. Spent a few nights in here during our two week holiday Sept 24. Highly recommended.”
A satisfied mum said: “This place is honestly amazing! From the €1 happy hours 12-5 to the kids play area. My little Mia is four and she’s loved every visit we’ve had every day this holiday. The kids discos are a huge hit and defo last longer then what my own hotel entertainment gave us.”
Another added: “The staff were brilliant with kids, so friendly and kept them entertained. My little boy won play your cards right! He loved it that much he begged to come back every year so we came back in February 2024.”
