Get ready for a magical day of festive cheer when Coatbridge hosts a Christmas festival.

With activities and entertainment for all ages, the event on Saturday, 14 December, is the perfect way to get into the festive spirit.

The free gathering, organised by the Coatbridge Town Board, will feature live entertainment on Main Street between 2.45pm and 5pm.

Locals are encouraged to join the fun, with the festivities kicking off with a live stage event hosted by Heart Radio presenter David Farrell.

Highlights of the day include live performances, such as music from Abba Dream and talented local acts.

Christmas lights and a giant snow globe will offer magical photo opportunities; open from noon.

You can also participate in activities to win exciting prizes and keep an eye out for a special guest visitor.

Summerlee Museum will offer family activities, with free events to keep everyone entertained between 10.30am and 2.30pm.

These include Christmas crafts, where you can get creative with festive DIY projects, while you can also burn off some energy with fun games and activities.

There will be storytelling sessions with captivating Christmas tales and festive movies – the first showing taking place at 10.30am.

An exciting opportunity exists to embark on a holiday-themed adventure around the museum by participating in a scavenger hunt.

The Summerlee activities and Main Street Party are free, making it an unmissable day for the whole family.
