I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans expressed their frustration with Ant and Dec after they appeared to toss Tulisa Contostavlos a lifeline during her challenging task.
On Wednesday’s episode, viewers watched as Tulisa was spun around on a massive clock while tasked with answering general knowledge questions to win stars for the camp.
With each set of questions, she faced insects including cockroaches, worms, and crickets. The celebrity stumbled through some sections, requested by Ant and Dec to reel off 12 campmate names and 12 elements from the periodic table among others.
As she rotated, Tulisa blanked on two campmate names—Coleen Rooney and Melvin Odoom. After several attempts, Ant and Dec stepped in with hints.
They nudged her along during a round focused on the phonetic alphabet and Tulisa confessed ignorance, but Ant hinted: “When you get pulled over by the police…” and provided ‘golf’ for ‘G’. Dec further nudged with “Sport… when you use clubs and a ball.”
For ‘November’, Ant chimed in with “This month”. Fans were not thrilled with the hosts’ intervention and took to social media to voice their frustrations, reports the Mirror.
One irked viewer posted: “Why are Ant and Dec trying to help Tulisa?! ” while another mused: “Who’s answering the questions in this trial Ant and Dec or Tulisa?”

Viewers spotted a hint of favouritism as one fan commented: “Ant and Dec definitely like Tulisa, so much help this trial,” while another lamented the difficulty of this season’s trials: “These trials are hard bloody work to watch this year!” Even though Ant and Dec might have nudged Tulisa with a helping hand during her challenge, she could only muster five stars for the camp.
The selection of Tulisa for the Bushtucker Trial had Love Island’s Maura Higgins expressing relief that she wasn’t picked, evident in scenes shown prior to the event. With a sense of amusement at Maura’s reaction, Tulisa quipped, “I know Maura’s so entertained right now.”
Amidst her laughter, Maura confessed: “You’re gonna be sat here giggling like this while I’m doing it,” to which Tulisa jovially retorted, teasingly calling Maura “a little cow”.
Both were seen enjoying the banter, and Maura later shared in the bush telegraph, gleefully stating: “I am happy no trial for Maura today so I’ve got a smile on my face.”
