A Motherwell teenage beauty queen has won a place in the prestigious final of Miss Teen Great Britain.
Hannah Jamieson, 16, has won the title of Miss Teen North Lanarkshire and will now represent the area in the grand final of Miss Teen Great Britain which will be held in October next year at The Globe Theatre in Blackpool.
Braidhurst High pupil Hannah said: “I am so excited to have made it to the final, it is a great achievement, as there were so many worthy semi-finalists.
“Making it to the grand final is a dream come true.”
Mum Lesley continued: “I’m really proud of Hannah. This is something she has wanted to do for a long time.
“She is over the moon. I think it’s important that young people to have opportunities like this.
“It has really increased her self-confidence which is always a good thing. It just shows what can be achieved.”
Teenagers from across Great Britain will compete for the crown in a spectacular grand final.
The winner of Miss Teen Great Britain will walk away with some incredible prizes – including a cash prize, dresses from The Dress Studio, a sparkling sash and crown, and more.
Lesley added: “Miss Teen GB is supportive of a charity Together for Short Lives, which supports children’s hospices and their families.
“The partnership has raised over £300,000 since the first Miss Teen Great Britain competition.
“Hannah will be raising money for the charity in the coming months.
“She’s quite an active teenager so I think she is talking about doing a couple of 5k’s.
“It’s a good thing for people to get involved within the community and to raise money.”
