BECKLEY, W.Va. – Woodrow Wilson boys soccer won the Class AAA state championship over Hurricane 2-1. While Hagen Hall came out the hero in the match with the game-winning goal, the WVVA November athlete of the month goes to junior Coby Dillon.
Dillon led the Flying Eagles throughout the season being the team’s leading goal scorer on the season, and in the postseason he came through when it mattered most. Dillon scored the first two goals in the Flying Eagles semifinal match against Wheeling Park in a 3-2 win. Then in the state championship, Dillon scored the first goal in the state championship in Hurricane as well.
