About this Tip: There are so many different types of countertops today, you need to know what type of countertop you have before cleaning them. Therefore, in this tip, I will show you how to clean stains off the three most popular countertops: granite, marble, and quartz.
How to:
GRANITE
• Flour – 1 Tablespoon and Hydrogen Peroxide – A few squirts – Mix together • Mix both together on the stain and push down and let sit
• Wipe clean with a paper towel or micro fiber cloth with water
If the Stain is still there, use rubbing alcohol and an extra fine steel wool
Optional cleaner: Mix 1/8 cup of Rubbing Alcohol or Vodka, with water into a bottle, Spray and wipe.
IMPORTANT: Use a granite sealer on granite, at least once a year.
MARBLE
• Mix together: Baking Soda & Dish Soap – Work it in and let it sit.
• Place Plastic wrap over the stain – Push down – let sit overnight.
• Wash off and buff day the next day Optional cleaner: Mix 1/8 cup of Rubbing Alcohol or Vodka, with water into a bottle, Spray and wipe.
QUARTZ
• Liquid Dish soap and water, on any cloth. Wipe clean.
