The Real Madrid team bus has crashed following their Champions League loss at Anfield.
Liverpool were 2-0 winners and sit top of the newly formatted league phase of the competition thanks to goals from Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo, with Mo Salah missing a second half penalty. The defeat leaves Carlo Ancelotti’s men sitting in the final qualifying spot for the playoff round, below Celtic in the table going into match day six.
And the La Liga giants didn’t have any better luck the day after. Footage has emerged on social media of their bus, complete with Real branding, sitting stationary on a motorway – thought to be the M40 – after apparently being hit by a lorry. It’s understood that no players or staff were on the coach at the time, having flown back to the Spanish capital after the match on Wednesday night. The vehicles were however carrying kit and equipment back to Madrid.
