In addition to the main series, fans can look forward to the return of the companion podcast The Traitors: Uncloaked. Comedian Ed Gamble will host the podcast, which will be available following each episode on BBC Two and iPlayer. For those craving more, an extended version featuring additional guests will be accessible on BBC Sounds, reports the Liverpool Echo.
A tantalising trailer featuring Claudia has been unveiled. The teaser shows “New Year’s Day” emblazoned across the sky while Claudia entices the audience with the phrase: “Start the New Year with a bang”.
The cast for season three remains under wraps for now. The second instalment of ‘The Traitors’, which aired this year, captivated over eight million viewers. In a nail-biting finale, Harry Clark walked away with £95,150 after successfully misleading Mollie Pearce into believing he was one of the Faithful.
The inaugural series witnessed Meryl, Hannah, and Aaron splitting a £100,000 prize, having outwitted Traitor Wilfred.
The Traitors has quickly become a favourite among TV enthusiasts since its debut. The programme bagged a BAFTA TV award for Best Reality and Constructed Factual Show, while Claudia was honoured with the Best Entertainment Performance award for her hosting duties.
The premise of The Traitors involves 22 participants moving into a castle to undertake a series of intense tasks and missions. The UK edition is shot at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, a 19th-century fortress located 25 miles north of Inverness.
The McTaggart family, who bought the castle in 1983, currently owns the property. The castle served as a hunting lodge for the 1st Duke of Sutherland in its earlier days.
