MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) – A Tennessee woman has been arrested on Thanksgiving after stabbing two family members.
According to the Memphis Police Department, Lachunda Johnson, 55, is facing charges that include aggravated assault and domestic violence.
Officers said they spoke to one of the stabbing victims at the hospital who told them that she and her mother, Johnson, were involved in an argument about her son being pushed.
Johnson charged at those involved in the argument that evening after she got a knife from the kitchen, police said.
Johnson’s daughter sustained abrasions to her left hand and the woman’s grandson was also injured on his left hand.
Authorities said Johnson was drinking and possibly heavily intoxicated at the time of the attack.
Officers took Johnson into custody nearby after she left the family home.
Additionally, three juveniles were inside the home at the time of the incident but were not harmed.
