BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The switches to the annual Christmas light display were flipped on at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving evening.
The West Virginia’s Christmas City is celebrating another year of the Holiday of Lights display which draws thousands of visitors to Lotito City Park.
This year there are more than 1.5 million lights that make up the free holiday attraction.
New attractions this year include a 40-foot inflatable Santa, Mistletoe Market, open Thursday through Saturday, where local craft and gift vendors change weekly, and a musical and animated Christmas light show located at the train depot.
The Grinch will be at the Mistletoe Market on December 1, 8, and 22, Santa will be there every Friday and Saturday until December 23rd.
Hours for the lights are 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Sunday -Thursday, and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm Friday and Saturday. Lotito City Park is located at 1780 Stadium Drive Bluefield, WV.
The Holiday of Lights will run through January 5.
