Danilo is ready to go all out for Rangers to reach his maximum level after a frustrating run of bad luck on the sidelines.
The £6million Brazilian has yet to make a real impact since Philippe Clement arrived at the club due to injuries and setbacks but he is now back fit and ready to help the Light Blues transform their campaign. The hitman is not part of the Europa League squad at this stage – like team-mate Ianis Hagi – so will be desperate to make his mark domestically.
Hamza Igamane was given the nod over Cyriel Dessers on Thursday night in Nice and stepped up to the plate with two goals in the thumping 4-1 Europa League win on the road. The Ibrox side have shown what they can do on a Thursday night and they must transform that form to the Premiership as they bid to chase down Celtic and Aberdeen.
Danilo could get the nod at St Johnstone this weekend after substitute appearances in the last two outings including replacing Dessers at the break in the 1-1 draw with Dundee United in Govan last week. Speaking to Rangers TV, he said: “I’m feeling great.
“I’m working hard to get the minutes and get ready to try to help the team as much as possible. It’s been rough. I would say at the point you get an injury at an unexpected moment, even if it’s one you try and avoid, try and get out of, sometimes setbacks just come.
“Then you just try to turn it in a positive way. That’s what’s in my head, so I’m trying to have good people around me to try to make it as positive as possible. I’m looking forward to every game and every training as well to try to reach my maximum level as I can.”
