Netflix has just added a wildly successful series with over 200 episodes that’s poised to be your next binge-watch obsession.

First broadcast in 2002 and initially running for five years, the franchise has spawned an even longer sequel series, numerous video games and a global fanbase.

Born from a highly popular manga series, Naruto played a crucial role in catapulting Japanese animation to global recognition and is frequently lauded as one of the genre’s best.

The series follows the journey of a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki from the Hidden Leaf Village, who dreams of becoming the Hokage after years of being ostracised by his peers.

However, Naruto’s heroic aspirations are overshadowed by his troubled past, specifically the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox that attacked his village and was subsequently sealed within him, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Throughout his adventures, he forms close bonds with fellow ninjas such as Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha, and faces a variety of formidable rivals and supernatural beings.

His story has captivated millions of fans worldwide, and Naruto consistently ranks among the top-rated animated series of all time by both critics and viewers.

As of Sunday, December 1, it’s now available for streaming at no extra charge to Netflix subscribers, making it the perfect time to join one of the world’s largest fanbases.

Comic Book Resources has recently declared it as the top anime of all time, celebrating its unique soundtrack, the character journey of Naruto, memorable memorabilia, and vibrant character array.

Their review elaborated: “Fantasy anime series tend to have their own combat systems and their own energy systems to match, from Bleach’s spirit energy to Jujutsu Kaisen’s curse energy and Fairy Tail’s magic and curses.

“Those are all fine energy systems, but none of them can compare to the chakra system of Naruto.”

Devoted followers of the show concur with the opinion that Naruto is unrivalled, with an enthusiast on Reddit asserting: “Why Naruto is the best anime of all time in my humble opinion.

“For starters I must clarify that I think that there are only 5 Anime that can actually compete for GOAT ANIME: Hunter x Hunter, Attack on Titan, FMAB, Code Geass and Naruto. And I think Naruto is the best out of all of them.”

The fan further extolled the show, citing the captivating villains, lovable protagonists, and the deep-seated themes that distinguish it.
