I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers have spoken once again, and this time it’s Dean McCullough who’s been sent packing.

On Sunday evening, the public vote sealed Dean’s fate, making him the second celebrity to bid farewell to camp life, hot on the heels of Loose Women panellist Jane Moore’s departure on Friday.

Upon his exit, Dean couldn’t hide his emotions as he declared: “I’m going home. I’m going home!” He then joined presenters Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly to reflect on his journey.

“I have really soaked up this full experience. The things I’ve faced. I’ve really enjoyed it and when I woke up this morning, I thought if I go today, I’m over the moon because I’ve not missed out on anything. I did all of it. I had the full experience. It was nothing like what I expected it to be, “he shared with the hosts.

Ant took a moment during their conversation to address his earlier frustration with Dean, explaining: “I was quite harsh on you. Let me explain why Dean. I was so angry at you for calling ‘I’m A Celebrity’,” while Dec chimed in, saying: “That was because we felt the trial was doable.” Ant continued: “Then, that tough love kind of got you through. I was really proud of you at the end and that tough love got you through. By the flying challenge, you were brilliant. I knew you could do it.”

During an emotional episode, Melvin Odoom bravely shared his struggles with the grim weather at the camp. To lift his spirits, Barry offered words of support: “You’ll be alright, you’re gonna be absolutely fine. We’re all here for you, anytime you want us to help you or talk to you whatever. You can do it, you’re tough as hell I’m telling you!”

Oti Mabuse also stepped in to give Melvin a pep talk, telling him: “You are doing so well Melvin and everyone will be proud of you, I promise you. It’s ok, you’re human. Remember why we’re here, the thing why you and I are pushing is because this is bigger than just you and I and we constantly have to remember why we’re here, what we stand for and who is watching us. And what it means when we do well. You know what it means? That’s why we wake up every day.”

The warmth continued as Oti reassured Melvin by promising her companionship after he requested it during a particularly tender moment: “I’ll stay here as long as you need, I won’t go anywhere, I’ve got you until the end.”

Elsewhere in the show, Barry faced the evening’s challenge dubbed ‘Spiralling Out of Control’. In a demanding trial, he found himself fastened to a mammoth spiral wheel, with only one hand free to attempt throwing balls into target hatches along the edges.

Surrounded by offal, cockroaches and giant mealworms, he was tasked with throwing balls into various hatches. Each successful throw would earn him a star for the camp. Barry triumphantly secured an impressive 10 out of 11 stars.
