You’ve seen it with your own eyes in three dimensions all over the city’s too-often-cast-into-shadow sidewalks, but it pays to hop online and look at the city’s official map (http://bit.ly/41pDrvd) showing active sidewalk scaffolding permits in the five boroughs. The City Council needs to pass legislation to help get rid of these blights. There are several bills awaiting consideration to attack the problem. And it is a big problem.
