For the beauty buffs among us, Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter has become a must-have product for those looking for an all-day glow.

The TikTok-loved ‘glow booster’ is said to provide your skin with that ‘real-life filter effect’, blurring out any imperfections for a smooth finish. However, at £39 a bottle, many of us consider looking for budget-friendly alternatives.

Which is why shoppers are racing to Aldi to buy the supermarket’s Luminous Filter Foundation that retails at under £5 a bottle. Launched earlier this year, it became a hit among shoppers who have said it is “the best dupe” for the major branded bottle.

Available to buy in the supermarket’s Specialbuys aisle, the Lacura beauty buy is boasts multipleshades that will suit nearly ever skin tone. Costing just £4.99 a bottle, it has impressed shoppers with its budget price-tag that saves them over £34.

Boasting a “light” and “creamy” consistency, the Luminous Filter can be used as a primer underneath foundation for those looking to get a “dewy” and “glowy” appearance. However, some users say they wear it on no makeup days to “even” their skin tone.

It’s also worth noting that beauty fans have also noted similarities between Aldi and Charlotte Tilbury packaging. Despite its affordable price, the supermarket’s bottle features the same gold accented lid, while the applicator wand is said to be “pretty much identical”.

If you’re wondering if Aldi’s Hollywood Filter ‘dupe’ is worth checking out, then one Charlotte Tilbury fan on TikTok, @bethwainwrightt, shared a comparison where she said she “couldn’t see much of a difference” between the results.

While confirming Charlotte Tilbury’s foundation texture was “a little bit thicker”, she admitted that they both “looked very similar” when it came to shine. Both the £39 and £4.99 bottle were said to “feel very similar on the skin”, with both not being overly fragranced.

Speaking of her results, she said: “From face value, I really don’t see a difference. I would ideally put foundation over this, but as a normal, glowy base, it is absolutely gorgeous.

She went on to add: “I would say this Aldi one is probably the closest ‘dupe’ I have found yet. I do love the Primark one and I do love the Collection Cosmetics and the e.l.f one, but for £4.99 this is amazing value.”

Another Charlotte Tilbury fan @lauragilmourlifestyle, also gushed about the Aldi foundation as her “favourite” ‘dupe’ for the pricier brand. She said: “This is how the Luminous Filter looks with the rest of my makeup done and I am absolutely obsessed, it’s such a bargain. Run to your nearest Aldi.”

While we have yet to see any negative critique for Aldi’s Luminous Filter, it is worth noting that many beauty fans have reminded others that, despite, being marketed as a foundation, it acts more as a primer or concealer for under your makeup.

You can check your local Aldi store for the Lacura Luminous Filter (£4.99) now, but remember stock levels vary in each store.

However, for fans of the Hollywood Flawless Filter, it is worth noting that Charlotte Tilbury is running a 30 percent discount at the checkout, reducing the price from £39 to £31.20. As a Black Friday deal, the discount will only be available until midnight today, December 2.

If you do happen to miss out, then the e.l.f. Halo Glow Liquid Filter, also considered a ‘dupe’, is priced at just £10.50 on Amazon. Another worth trying out is the Collection Cosmetics Gorgeous Glow Filter Finish Primer and Illuminator, just £5.33 at Boots.
