Liam Payne’s missing £30,000 Rolex reportedly vanished after an escort he had been with prior to his death returned to his hotel room.
The respected Argentinian news outlet Infobae reported that the woman claimed she had forgotten her makeup and was permitted back into the third-floor suite at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires to collect it.
According to sources close to the ongoing criminal probe, Infobae revealed: “There Payne’s Rolex watch disappeared.” It is alleged that the woman, along with another female escort who attended the hotel, were promised £5,000 by Liam, but they did not receive the full amount, the Mirror reports.
Infobae further reported that the two escorts later informed prosecutors that ‘gentleman’ Liam had knelt before them declaring, “I love you, I love you.”
He is even said to have ‘promised them’ his Rolex watch. However, Liam allegedly did not hand over additional money in the room or afterwards in the lobby.
The One Direction star’s friend and ex-manager Roger Nores is then reported to have arrived to “resolve the situation”. Tragically, forty minutes later, Liam fell three floors from the balcony of his hotel room to his death.
Although Liam was seen wearing the Rolex on the day he died, the watch, valued at about £33,000, was not found on his wrist when he fell and has since gone missing.

A detective on the case revealed: “We know, from images that were analysed, that Payne was wearing a Rolex on the day of his death. He was wearing it on one of his hands and he had it for at least two to three hours before he (died).”
Despite extensive searches of Liam’s hotel room and the residences of individuals known to have been with him on the day, including locations connected to two female escorts, the watch remains missing. Although the women, not named by authorities, are considered witnesses rather than suspects, they have reportedly sought legal representation.
In the lead-up to the tragic incident, it is reported by Infobae that Liam requested Moet and Chandon Champagne, Johnnie Walker Black Label Whisky, and $300, with prosecutors speculating the money was intended for drug purchases.

Liam is said to have exhibited “erratically and smashed his laptop in the lobby” behaviour, including smashing his laptop in the hotel lobby, and was later taken to his room after hotel staff alerted emergency services about a guest who had consumed “too many drugs and alcohol” and was “trashing the entire room”.
Liam suffered his fatal fall shortly afterwards. Authorities have dismissed the possibility of self-harm or suicide, suggesting that Liam was ‘unconscious or semi-conscious’ at the time of his fall.
They believe that the singer, found with substances and alcohol in his system, either did not understand what he was doing or was unable to comprehend his actions.
A post-mortem examination revealed that he died from multiple injuries, as well as internal and external bleeding caused by the fall. Three individuals, including a hotel employee, have been charged in relation to Liam’s death on 16 October.
One is facing charges of ‘abandonment of a person followed by death’, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison, while two others are charged with drug supply offences. Liam was privately buried in Buckinghamshire last week, and there are calls for a permanent memorial in his hometown of Wolverhampton.
