Ayrshire burger fans have featured in a new roundup of Burger King order requests, insights and trends from the past year.
BK Unwrapped 2024 reveals consumers’ eating habits at the burger chain’s restaurants from the past 12 months.
Popular in Kilmarnock was the Chicken Royale with cheese as only customers in Glasgow, Cumbernauld, Edinburgh and Aberdeen ordered more.
Across the country, orders of Chilli Cheese Bites soared on the hottest day of the year while the firm’s Whopper Wednesdays’ offer saw its busiest day of the year on Valentines Day, with couples treating each other with the gift of a flame-grilled feast on date night.
Bizarrely, Burger King reported 25 per cent fewer requests to remove onions from Whopper orders on Valentines Day.
A spokesperson for Burger King said: “Burger King has unveiled BK Unwrapped 2024 – a roundup of some of the quirkiest order requests, insights and trends from the past year.
“2024’s BK Unwrapped is packed with findings linked to important calendar moments revealing how consumers’ eating habits align with some of this year’s memorable moments.”
