BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – The carriage rides at the Holiday of Lights took a temporary pause recently because of freezing temperatures.
For the rides to operate, temperatures must be over 32°.
Carriage rides will resume for the upcoming weekend, with special dates added for Dec. 4 and 5. Following that, normal schedule will continue if the weather permits it.
The normal hours of operation for the carriage rides are Friday through Sunday, 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
If you’re interested in taking a carriage ride, prices are listed at $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 through 12, and children under 5 are free. Private rides are also offered in their Cinderella carriage for $60.
The Cinderella carriage can be reserved, but will not be available until late in the evening on Dec. 6 and 12 due to parades. Reservations cannot be made on the chuck wagon at this time.
