Police in Dumfries are investigating reports of a car being driven “erratically” in the town.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage after concerns were raised regarding the driving of an Audi A5 in Cresswell at around 5pm on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Roads policing officers in Dumfries are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage in relation to a white Audi A5 motor vehicle which was seen being driven erratically in the Cresswell area of Dumfries about 5pm.

“If you were in the area of Eastfield Road, Rosevale Road, Grierson Avenue, Alderman Hill Road and Bankend Road and observed this vehicle or have dash cam footage of the vehicle being driven then please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2613 of December 2.”
