Coleen Rooney and Alan Halsall secured a resounding victory in the latest Bushtucker Trial, bagging all ten stars for the camp. Despite encountering several communication mix-ups during the trail, the duo finished with 60 seconds to spare.
In ‘The Farmyard of Fear’, Alan was tasked with catching various jungle nasties, ranging from offal to eggs, on a tray strapped around his neck. These were then passed down to Coleen, who had to cart them over to the weighing scales using a wheelbarrow.
Once the duo got the hang of it, success followed swiftly, enabling them to claim every star. On their way back to camp, the pair conspired to fool their fellow campmates into believing they had earned only two stars, aiming to surprise everyone with the full bounty at dinner time, the Liverpool Echo reports.
After returning, they put on an impressive act, prompting Alan to quip to Coleen: “I’ll be getting you a job in Coronation Street before you know it!” extending further: “She’ll be the barmaid of the Rovers Return before you know it!” Fans were elated by this idea, taking to social media to express their excitement.
One fan amusingly wrote: “WAGATHA CHRISTIE TO WORK ALONG SIDE DS LISA SWAIN IN WEATHERFIELD POLICE STATION. As she replaces kit green and his incompetence the street is most definitely a lot safer with Wagatha joining the police team.”
One fan praised the mother-of-four for her detective skills, saying “Coleen ain’t only a good detective she can also put on act, imagine if she went in corrie they’d never be another serial killer again #ImACeleb”. Many others were eager to see this idea come to fruition.
Another viewer addressed ITV directly, stating: “@ColeenRoo in @ITVCorrie is a genius idea. Long lost sister of Carla Connor! We need this to happen in the very near future. @ITV SORT IT IMMEDIATELY! “.
