I’m A Celeb’s Danny Jones has revealed that Sir Rod Stewart once played a very cheeky joke on him and his McFly bandmates which left them in trouble with the US government.

During Monday night’s episode of the ITV show, Danny, 38, recounted how he and Tom Fletcher, 39, Harry Judd, 38, Dougie Poynter, 37, met the iconic rock star when they starred together on the US chat show The Late Late Show.

The musician explained to his campmates how Rod had offered them a lift home to the UK on his private jet after the show and McFly had told him they would soon be touring around the States.

He explained that Rod took the band’s passports and when they landed, “he got in his Rolls-Royce, got our passports back and gave them to our tour manager. All the Visas were sorted, everything was sorted for America and South America.”

He continued: “And because I told him that story, he thought it would be funny to draw penises on our heads on our passports!”

His fellow I’m A Celeb campmates were left in stitches as Danny explained how US immigration later asked: “You think this is funny Sir?”

And he had to explain: “No, no, no! Rod Stewart literally drew a penis on our heads!”

Danny’s hilarious story comes after Dean McCullough spilled all on his ‘feud’ with Ant McPartlin after being the second contestant to be booted out the jungle.

The Irish DJ, 32, revealed he got a ‘proper telling off’ after a BushTucker Trial, having completed a whopping seven trials during his stint on the show.

Despite how nervous he was, host Ant showed little sympathy after one of his trials where he backed out of the trial early on. The Geordie host previously admitted he had been a little ‘unprofessional’ during Dean’s trials as he was unable to hide at his frustration.

Speaking on GMB with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls in his first interview since leaving camp, Dean said: “When Ant was telling me off for saying “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here,” I felt it was a proper telling off. I feel like he meant it.

“So I did what I was told and I wanted to win him back around, which I think I did in the end.”

Susanna said: “You did, that was interesting wasn’t it, he was a bit angsty with you, wasn’t he?”

Dean replied: “Yeah, I believe he was. But it worked. It meant that I eventually got 10 stars home for camp and I got a handshake.”
