The Chase host Bradley Walsh stopped the ITV show in its tracks during a brand new episode on December 1 to express his concern for quizzer Shaun Wallace.
Contestants Greg, Jemma, Rachel, and Reuben joined the programme, each hoping to face Shaun, ‘The Dark Destroyer’ in the challenge ahead. To everyone’s amusement, their wish was granted. Bradley remarked: “He’s so popular everyone asks for him. Why are you so popular? Here he comes, the one and only Dark Destroyer himself.”
Shaun stepped out with a new look as he was noticeably missing one key item from his appearance – his glasses, the Express reports. Teasingly accusing player Greg, he exclaimed: “Look, that’s him. The man who stole my glasses and my jokes.”
A concerned Bradley interrupted the flow of the show, earnestly asking: “What’s happened? “. With a chuckle, Shaun confessed: “I sat on them.”
A worried Bradley pressed on: “What, seriously? You sat on your glasses? ” After learning they were for short-sightedness, he kindly offered: “Do you want to borrow mine? “
But Shaun jovially declined: “You’ve got to be joking. I’d look like Mr Magoo! ” A few weeks back, Bradley Walsh addressed a recurring issue on the ITV show as contestants are consistently going for low offers.

He took a swipe at a contestant in a new episode of The Chase, telling them “not to be ridiculous”. The ITV quizmaster pointed out a “problem” noticed by viewers as he jokingly reprimanded the participant.
This happened when one player accepted a low offer and then cheekily advised another to “go high”. He commented: “Rather cheeky from me, Kim, but I really think you can bring the £70,000 back. That was an amazing cashbuilder.”
Bradley was taken aback as he scolded the player, saying: “Don’t be ridiculous Jason. Mr ‘two grand I’m a gambler’. Ok then.”
Jason found it amusing and laughed heartily. Referring back to the table, Brad reiterated the amounts, adding another dig, saying: “Take no notice of Jason, what do you think? ” Kim confessed: “It’s very tempting to go for £70,000. I’m going to go for £70,000. You only come here once.”
Her team mates applauded her decision and the ITV host shook her hand, saying: “You’ve got to! That’s the way you go, isn’t it Jason? “.
