The anticipated Spotify Wrapped for 2024 could be released soon, with fans working out what date the special feature will arrive.

Every year since 2016, Spotify has released the ‘Wrapped’ campaign as the festive period starts. The viral marketing campaign shows users an overview of their listening history for the year, which people have taken a liking to sharing on social media.

The wrapped typically contains the data from your top five artists, songs, genres, albums and most importantly how many hours you spent listening to music. Although in recent years, Spotify has upped the game by including data from podcast listens.

Although there is no official date for this year’s Wrapped, many users believe they have worked it out. Previously the much loved data often comes out on a Wednesday.

Last year’s Wrapped came out on November 29, which was a Wednesday as was the previous year (2022) November 30 date, as well as 2021’s wrapped falling on Wednesday, December 1.

This suggests a pattern of either the last Wednesday in November or the first Wednesday in December, and seeing as November is passed, users believe Wednesday 4 will be the date Spotify releases ‘Wrapped’.

The platform tracks users listening habits from January 1 to October 31, so there is no need for users to worry about any Christmas songs making their way onto their Wrapped.

Spotify was one of the first apps to release a marketing campaign catered to each individual user, but now many other apps have jumped on the trend to offer users insights into their year.

Most notably is Apple Music, who launched there “Replay” feature in 2019. Similarly to Spotify, this feature shows users their top artists, songs, albums, genres, playlists and total time listening to music. Although earlier this year Apple Music launched a monthly version of “Replay” letting the user access their monthly music habits.

As well as this, YouTube music also offers the “Your Recap” feature. Which covers the same data as both Spotify and Apple Music, but includes a feature where users can find out their longest listening streak, showing just how many hours at a time they’ve listened to music.

In addition to music streaming platforms, Duolingo is also capitalising on Spotify’s success. Duolingo is a language learning app that offers courses in over 40 languages from French, Spanish, Italian to Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and Zulu.

The platform released its “Year in Review”, revealing all types of learning insights – total XP earned, longest streak, how many mistakes you made and where you ranked compared to other users.
