A squad of young Cambuslang footballers look resplendent on the field in their new kit this season thanks to sponsorship from a leading housebuilder.

Cambuslang Football Club unveiled the new strips for their 2010 Blacks team, which are a striking red and black.

Mirroring both the signature colours of the community football club and sponsors Dawn Homes, the new kit is already a proven winner and is popular with the players who are all aged between 13 and 14 years old.

Paul Cuthbert, Cambuslang FC 2010 Blacks team head coach/team secretary, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Dawn Homes for their generous sponsorship and the 2010 teams’ new kit for the 2024/5 season.

“As a team run solely by local volunteers, their support goes a long way in sustaining the running of the club. The uniforms have been a hit with the team, and it really helps to create a sense of belonging and pride on the pitch.”

The sponsorship reflects Dawn Homes’ continued commitment to the Cambuslang community, showcased by its nearby Camas Walk development, which offers prospective buyers a variety of three, four and five bedroom family homes – perfectly suited for growing families and professional couples alike.

Dawn Homes managing director, Andy Curran, said: “At Dawn Homes, we believe in supporting the communities wherein we build our homes, helping to strengthen local connections and encourage active lifestyles.

“It’s inspiring to see the hard work and dedication of the volunteers who run the Cambuslang Football Club, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping these young players thrive both on and off the field.

“Our nearby Camas Walk development has been very popular so far with a range of buyers who are looking for highly quality homes in a thriving local community and we’re thrilled to support community groups in the area.”
