Cumbernauld Colts have officially appointed Craig Malcolm as their new boss.

Malcolm had been operating as interim boss at the Broadwood club following the departure of David Proctor.

The club are currently 17th in the 18-team Lowland League, with just two wins and 10 defeats from their 17 games so far.

A statement issued by the club read: “We are excited to announce Craig Malcolm has accepted the position of Lowland League head coach until the end of the season.

“Craig joined as a player in the summer and then took up the position of interim head coach following the departure of David Proctor.

“We are delighted Craig has accepted and has been a positive influence on the players these last few weeks.

“Whilst we are not in the best league position currently, we are confident Craig will navigate us up the table.

“We thank all who have expressed interest in the coaching position these last few weeks.”
