I’m A Celebrity fans have asked ‘what’s going on’ after three stars failed to appear on the reality series’ companion show. Tulisa also mysteriously wiped her social media clean of any jungle-related posts.
The N-Dubz star, who was the third to depart from the jungle after Loose Woman Jane Moore and Radio 1’s Dean McCullough, did not follow the tradition of appearing on I’m A Celebrity Unpacked on ITV2 the day after her exit.
In a surprising twist early in Tuesday’s episode (December 3), it was disclosed that Tulisa would be absent. To add to the intrigue, presenters Ant and Dec were also missing in action, despite their usual cameos at the start of previous episodes.
Unpacked host Joel Dommett addressed the situation during the broadcast, informing viewers: “Unfortunately we don’t have Tulisa on the show today”, reports the Express.
This prompted fans to express their worries on social media platforms. This incident marks the first time this series an ex-campmate has not featured on the post-exit discussion show. Meanwhile, Melvin Odoom, the fourth celebrity to leave, is slated to appear tonight.
A puzzled fan commented: “Right huns, what’s the tea with Tulisa not appearing on Unpacked today? Apparently she’s deleted everything to do with #ImACeleb from her socials. It’s a bit strange that Ant and Dec haven’t had their little chat with Joel like they normally do too.”
Another viewer chimed in: “What’s going on with Tulisa since leaving #ImACeleb she didn’t turn up on #Unpacked and has deleted her photos on her instagram removing any trace that she was on the show.”
Many fans have jokingly suggested that this mystery is another case for Coleen Rooney to solve, following the high-profile case that earned her the moniker Wagatha Christie.
Ant and Dec addressed their absence to fans on their Instagram page, explaining: “We couldn’t do it because we’re going down to camp to do an announcement so we had to go and prepare for that.”
In the meantime, Tulisa did make an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine to talk about her time in the camp. The former X Factor judge expressed her belief that she has made lifelong friends, stating: “I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life.”
She also had a chat with Ant and Dec right after exiting the show, confessing that she found certain moments in the camp challenging. Describing her departure as a ‘happy thing’, she said: “I’m not gonna lie, it is tough in there so leaving is still a happy thing! I just think you’re gonna be more grateful for the food you eat, the people around you.”
“You don’t realise how good you’ve had it. (I’ve learned) just to stay strong with my convictions, it can be testing in here. So just be yourself.”
Tulisa’s absence from the spin-off show the following night sparked concerns amongst fans, with many taking to social media in the hopes that the singer was alright after missing the final. One fan expressed online: “I hope Tulisa is okay. She was an early fav of mine too.” Another person posted: “Hope Tulisa is ok. I was hoping to see her on the unpacked show.”
Addressing the worries of her followers, Tulisa shared a video explaining she needed some time off due to feeling overwhelmed today (December 4).
She elaborated in the video: “Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle I felt fine first of all, and then that evening I went to bed, I was on my Instagram just trying to have a nice little casual scroll at some funny stuff or the stuff I like to watch.”
Amidst receiving a warm reception from supporters, she confessed: “I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding, in the most positive way. But because it’s been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed.”
She continued: “I thought, ‘Do you know what, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill, this is all feeling just a little bit much at the moment. I’m going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle and when the time is right and I’ve had time to process, I’m gonna make my own Reels with all my best bits that I really like’.”
“Remember, I haven’t been doing my Instagrams the way everything’s posted and all the random stuff is not the way I would do my Insta. I would have one or two really good Reels related to the jungle and bringing together my time in there. But I just wanted to clear up the reasons why.”
I’m A Celebrity continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX followed by Unpacked on ITV2
