The I’m A Celebrity stars were dealt a fresh blow, as they were left “absolutely shocked” by some unexpected news.

Viewers too found themselves in a state of disbelief as hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly broke some disheartening news to the campmates that they hadn’t anticipated.

The shocking announcement was tied to Monday’s vote-off result and highlighted in Tuesday’s episode. The duo informed the crestfallen celebs that Tulisa Contostavlos had been voted off by the public.

Her departure marked the third celebrity to exit the show, following on from Jane Moore and Dean McCullough who had previously been sent packing. Tulisa’s exit was indeed a shocker, with her campmates evidently devastated to see her go, reports the Mirror.

Tulisa had just been considering her time in camp, saying: “It is time again real soon for someone else to leave, we’ve all gotta go out at some point, we’ve just gotta enjoy every moment. If I’m given another day, I’m super grateful and if I’m not, I’m grateful for the experience I’ve had thus far.”

Upon hearing she was voted out by Ant and Dec, Tulisa quipped: “I’m going for pizza guys!” Amidst emotional farewells, she made her way out of the Australian wilderness, leaving her fellow contestants to process her departure.

Oti Mabuse was among those taken aback, expressing: “I can’t believe Tulisa is going. I’m in absolute shock.” Alan Halsall shared a similar sentiment, expressing his dismay at bidding farewell to his “original wife from the Leaders’ Lodge”.

Upon her exit from the camp on Monday’s episode, Tulisa confided in Ant and Dec that jungle life was quite challenging, commenting: “You’re just going to be more grateful for everything. The food you eat, the people that you love… you don’t realise how good you’ve got it.” Tulisa admitted the experience was “testing” but maintained that she remained true to herself.

Tulisa further explored her time on the show during her Tuesday appearance on ITV’s Lorraine. Quizzed by Lorraine on the potential longevity of the friendships formed, she hesitantly responded: “I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life. But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We’ll see…”
