Oti Mabuse’s other half, Marius Iepure, revealed on ITV’s Lorraine a crucial “text” was omitted from the aired version of his letter to Oti during her stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The duo, who tied the knot ten years ago and have a child over a year old, faced the difficult choice of Oti joining the jungle as dad Marius took over parenting responsibilities at home.

Despite having welcomed their firstborn just over a year prior, Oti ventured into the Australian wilderness, entrusting Marius with solo parenting duties.

While on the survival show, a heartwarming family update was shared in a letter where Marius had written about their daughter taking her first steps. However, he disclosed to Lorraine that the televised letter strangely didn’t include this touching detail.

Chatting with the Scottish presenter about Oti being away from their young one in the jungle, Marius let slip the surprising omission while connected via video from Australia, where he’s supporting Oti and caring for their daughter. He confided to Lorraine: “Of course she is missing her. Every mother misses her baby,” reports the Express.

Marius revealed additional heartfelt details from his letter to his wife Oti that weren’t broadcasted, sharing: “Actually, in the letter that I sent her, there was a little bit more text, and I was telling her how she is doing and how she has started to walk but most importantly somehow she gave me that possibility to connect with her on a much deeper level.”

The Romanian dancer opened up about the profound impact fatherhood has had on him: “Mums and babies connect in a different way than dads with babies and now, because of this, I think it’s a great opportunity for Oti to find her Zen and for me to connect with my daughter on a deeper level.”

Lorraine couldn’t hide her delight as Marius confided: “I think it’s a very interesting experience for both of us.”

During their conversation, Lorraine highlighted the growing support for Oti: “Now lots of people are saying that they want her [Oti] to win.”

She continued, referencing recent endorsements: “Tulisa was on this show yesterday and Tulisa said that she wanted Oti to win. Melvin as well said last night that he wanted her to win too, there’s this growing swell of people who would actually like to see a Queen of the jungle, I think she’s got a great chance.”

Marius then commented on the competition’s unpredictability, noting the surprising eliminations: “I think everybody can win, up until when Jane was out, and she was doing so well, and then we had Dean, who was doing all of those seven challenges, I think.”

He further commented: “So I was like, ok why is he out and why is she out? It was really really crazy so for me, everyone can win. She is the Queen of the jungle obviously and she can dance a very good Samba so she is going in the right direction. I’m really hoping that she is going to be in the final of this. That would be huge.”

The host responded with enthusiasm: “Yeah, I see her there already.”

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
