A 61-year-old man has been charged in relation to an alleged attack on two seals in a Scots coastal town.
The incident occurred near the harbour on Victoria Road in North Berwick around 4.45 pm on Thursday, November 28. Police confirmed that a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Officers stated that partner agencies have been contacted regarding the animals’ welfare and have advised the public, particularly dog walkers, to exercise caution when visiting the beach during the winter months, reports EdinburghLive.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland East Lothian, said: “A 61-year-old man has been charged in connection with a report of two seals having been attacked in North Berwick.
“The incident happened around 4.45pm on Thursday, 28 November, 2024.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
