Tulisa Contostavlos is said to have had a massive row with her best friend after she was axed from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The 36-year-old was the third celebrity to leave the jungle and wiped any evidence of her stint on the hit show from her Instagram account.
The ex-N-Dubz star said she had been “bombarded” on social media and felt overwhelmed, so needed to take some time for herself “and to chill”.
She did not honour a scheduled appearance on the programme’s follow up show, Unpacked. The Mirror reports she also failed to greet fellow campmate, Melvin Odoom, when he got the boot on Tuesday.
Tulisa said: “I can get overwhelmed quite easily and started to feel overwhelmed. I realised I needed to take time for myself, and to chill, it’s all a little bit much at the moment.
Her social media account was run by pals while she was in camp. She explained: “I’m just going to archive all my stuff to do with the jungle and then, when the time is right and I’ve had time to process, I’m going to make my own reels of my best bits that I really like.
“Because remember, I haven’t been doing my Instagrams. The way it’s being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would do my Insta – I would have one or two really good reels relating to the jungle and bringing my time together there.”
However, it has now been claimed that Tulisa had a massive row with her friend, Michelle McKenna, who came to greet her in the jungle once Tulisa was evicted.
According to a source, Tulisa feels as though her friend ‘took liberties’ by flying to Australia to greet her. Speaking to Mail Online, they claimed: “They were only in Australia because of Tulisa.
“It felt like they were revelling in the situation and taking liberties on her kindness. Michelle and Daniel were there, on a trip funded by ITV and only because of Tulisa.
“They were there because of her and she trusted them with her social media. When she got out of the jungle and saw what had been put on there, she was upset and it prompted a huge row.
“You can’t help but think that seeing her friends living it up like that while she was roughing it in the jungle must have really annoyed her,” the source added.
Tulisa last appeared publicly on ITV’s Lorraine on Tuesday where she was quizzed about her time in the jungle. While on the show, the star hinted that not all of her famous friends were being as authentic as she had been.
When asked by Lorraine if she feels as though she’s made friends for life in the jungle, Tulisa paused before she said: “I feel like I have with some of them. I think they will be friends for life.
“But a lot of people for the cameras were being very pally pally but the real test will be when everyone is out. Will they make the effort to send texts in the group chat? Will they do the four hour drives to see each other? We’ll see…” she mused.
Lorraine then asked the N-Dubz singer who she would like to win the show this year with Tulisa not hesitating with her answer. Tulisa said Oti Mabuse is her number one after the pair grew close while in the jungle.
“Oti is just a pure soul. She’s amazing and people like her are hard to come by.” The singer also revealed that she was closest to Alan Halsall, Maura Higgins, and Melvin Odoom in the jungle.
And she said she would love to see them and Oti in the final four. The Mirror reports it has approached Tulisa’s representatives for comment.
