Cat Deeley has graced UK television screens for years through her vast array of hosting duties – and she always looks flawless doing so.
The ITV This Morning host is rarely seen without pristine locks and while fans may be prone to believe that Cat only uses costly luxury products, this actually isn’t the case. In fact, one of her go-to shampoos is currently on sale for under £20.
Kérastase is a well known name in the haircare world, offering a wide array of styling products, ranging from smoothing serums to mousse and “nutrient rich” shampoos. Right now, its Bain Satin Richie Shampoo for very dry hair can be nabbed for £18.48.

Usually retailing for £25, this shampoo is made of a gentle protein-rich formula to “restore thickness and shine” as well as fighting dehydration. Being labelled as “fragrance-free”, it may suit those with a more delicate scalp.
When asked about the pampering products she uses that don’t break the bank, Cat couldn’t help but sing its praises.
Previously speaking to Hello!, Cat divulged: “At home, I try not to wash my hair too often because I don’t think that does it any good (well, not my hair anyway). When I do wash it, I need products that are super-duper because my hair is really thick and big and crazy! I’m a Kérastase girl and I love its Nutritive Bain Satin Riche Shampoo.”
Its not just Cat that loves the Bain Satin Richie Shampoo, as it also has an impressive 4.6 stars from more than 1,000 shopping reviews. Its compliments include leaving hair super clean and easy application.
A five star reviewer penned: “I’ve been using this shampoo for years and it’s by far one of the best from the Kérastase range. Leaves the hair well clean and so smooth. Highly recommended.”
Another lamented: “Great product for hair that tends to be dry and has a mind of its own.”
“If your hair is dry or dull this is the shampoo for you. I absolutely love it! Yes I know it’s expensive & I did stop buying it because of that however my hair just wasn’t the same without it,” praised a third.
However, some people found it to be harsher than originally promised, as one person said: “Smells so good and made my hair soft however it made my scalp itch but most shampoos do as I have psoriasis but I thought I would give it a go.”
A three star review claimed that the shampoo does actually emits a smell and also didn’t do much for hydration.
They explained: “Great scent, it’s not PERFUME-FREE as the description says, it’s scented indeed and it’s really pleasant. It’s a shame the scent fades straight away once the hair is dry.
“My hair has never been as dry as it has been in the last week. They were greasy on the skull and dry underneath at the tips, but again, never that dry. The shampoo applies very well along the entire length of the hair, I applied it twice and finally applied another brand of conditioner.”
For those wanting extra nourishing, Kérastase stocks a High Nutrition Ultra-Light Conditioner for Fine to Medium Dry Hair, which is currently slashed from £33.85 to £24.12. You can buy Kérastase’s Bain Satin Richie Shampoo on Amazon here.
For those looking to buy their shampoo and conditioner in one go, Redken’s All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner Hydrating Bundle is also on sale. Previously costing £45.60, it can now be snapped up for £37.35. Shoppers looking for a bigger bottle of shampoo may want to consider the Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo in a litre bottle for £88 pm the brand’s website.
