Roger Nores, a friend of Liam Payne, claims that the hotel where the singer stayed is to ‘blame for his death.’

The One Direction singer tragically passed away on October 16 at the age of 31 after he fatally fell from the third floor balcony of his hotel room in Argentina, as an autopsy revealed that he suffered internal and external bleeding as a result of the fall.

Liam was spending time with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy before she left Argentina to return to America. Liam stayed in Buenos Aires, with his friend Rodger.

Roger was Liam’s friend, and reported business manager and one of the last people to see the singer alive. He is currently being investigated for abandonment after he left Liam alone, knowing he was in danger, reports the Mirror.

However, after Liam’s death Rodger released a statement claiming he “never abandoned Liam”. He said: “I went to his hotel 3 times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened.”

During a statement to the Mail Online he said: “There were over 15 people in the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left. I could have never imagined something like this would happen. I’ve given my statement to the prosecutor on October 17 as a witness and I haven’t spoken to any police office or prosecutor ever since. I wasn’t Liam’s manager he was just my very dear friend.”

It has now been reported that Roger is claiming the CasaSur Palermo Hotel played a role in his friend’s death and believes he should not be the one under investigation.

Roger’s legal team submitted new documents, which were seen by TMZ, claiming that the hotel failed to provide a 24-hour on-call doctor, which he claims is a legal requirement.

He also alleged that the hotel didn’t effectively look out for Liam’s safety, claiming that the hotel operations manager was aware of Liam’s intoxication and argued that the hotel should have arranged for a doctor to be present as soon as Liam checked in.

The documentary reportedly claimed: “A world-famous person was staying with obvious signs of being going through a crisis caused by drug intake at that very moment, and they did not even make an effort there to make up for their legal omission of having a 24-hour doctor.”

Roger further claimed that the hotel took no action despite reportedly being aware that the singer had been ‘on a three-day bender’.

He defended himself, claiming it was the hotel manager that left Liam alone, not Rodger. He continued by stating that the singer had been attempting to leave the hotel room and added that Liam was carrying a bag and a hat when he fell to his death.
