Queen Camilla’s son, Tom Parker-Bowles, has launched a tirade against the “eternally offended” in an explicit rant at a celebrity bash.
The food critic and writer vented his frustrations during the Santa Rita Cigar Smoker of The Year Dinner and Awards in Canary Wharf, London.
Among those suited up for the black-tie affair were Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer, Sexy Beast’s Ray Winstone, Tamar Hussain, and Piers Morgan, who walked away with the 2024 Cigar Smoker of the Year accolade, as per London Cigar Smoker.
In a speech that celebrated the “joys” of cigars and wine, Tom also took aim at “bleaters” and “virtue-signallers”.
He declared: “We are here at Boisdale celebrating not just the joys of cigars and wine, but the basic fundamental pleasure – of being together and making merry in the most civilised and open-minded surroundings. That’s surely something to be happy about.”
He then blasted: “As for the ‘me, me, me’ moaners, the whiners, the bleaters, and the empty virtue-signallers and the eternally bloody offended – f*** off! “
Previous recipients of the prestigious award include big names such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jonathan Ross, Chris Noth from Sex and the City, and Dolph Lundgren. The event treated guests to a three-course meal, champagne reception, and naturally, cigars.
Tom Parker Bowles, son of Camilla, has debunked rumours about his mother’s smoking habits in a previous interview with Hello! magazine.
Royal expert Russell Myers revealed that the Queen was previously “partial to a ciggie or two”, but Tom insisted that the Queen now “hasn’t smoked for many years”.
He also revealed that while the family enjoys gathering around the table, Camilla does not partake in gin. Tom stated: “There are photos of her from ages ago having a fag. But it’s not a bad image, and she takes it, as she always does, with good humour.”
He suggested that this perception of Camilla likely originated from the Channel 4 comedy series The Windsors, which features Haydn Gwynne as Camilla and Harry Enfield as Charles.
In other news, Tom disclosed that both his mother and King Charles have reduced their red meat consumption for health reasons following Charles’ cancer diagnosis.
Speaking to Saga magazine, he said: “I’m no nutritionist, but I know that food is part of a body’s “medicine”. It knows when it’s having the right stuff.”
