Tesco customers in Wishaw can gift a toy to local children in need this Christmas.
Tesco Wishaw Belhaven Extra is organising a collection of toys in store to sharing with Women’s Aid until next Wednesday, December 11.
Women’s Aid work to support women and children impacted by domestic abuse, and the donated toys will be distributed to kids to ensure that every youngster in the community “experiences the joy of a gift on Christmas morning”.
David Cooper and Chelsea Gray, community champions at Tesco Wishaw Belhaven Extra, told Lanarkshire Live: “Thank you so much for the generosity shown by our Tesco Wishaw customers who have supported our toy appeal this Christmas.”
Claire De Silva, head of communities at Tesco, added: “Our stores are committed to supporting local children and their communities year-round, and our annual toy collection campaign is a wonderful way for our customers and colleagues to come together to make a real difference at Christmas.
“It’s great to see Tesco Wishaw Belhaven Extra partnering with Women’s Aid this year to ensure that every child experiences the magic of Christmas.”
Tesco is also making a financial donation of £25,000 to the Salvation Army to support their ongoing efforts in providing essential services and support to vulnerable families during the festive season.
