CAMP CREEK, W.Va. – West Virginia State Police said a woman was killed in a crash that happened on Interstate 77 south.

According to WVSP, the crash happened on Dec. 3 when a woman was heading south on I-77. As she approached the entrance ramp at mile marker 42, WVSP said she hit a WV Parkways Authority Courtesy Patrol Vehicle that was stopped in the left lane blocking traffic for a different crash that had happened.

WVSP said the woman’s vehicle went across the highway and was hit by a commercial truck heading south.

The woman, identified by the WVSP as 48-year-old Lewann M. Shrewsberry of Camp Creek, was found dead in her vehicle.

WVSP said the WV Parkway Authority vehicle had its emergency equipment and arrow board activated at the time of the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
