I’m A Celebrity fans were left reaching for the tissues after witnessing Danny Jones’ tear-jerking reunion with his family on the show.
In the episode aired on Friday (December 6), the remaining six contestants were overjoyed as their loved ones made surprise visits to the camp.
McFly frontman Danny Jones was visibly moved when his wife Georgia and son Cooper appeared, confessing he “didn’t want to let them go”.
Before meeting his father, an excited Cooper shared: “I’m really excited to see my dad! ” Georgia chimed in with praise for her husband’s performance: “He’s been doing amazing, he said he wanted to make you proud didn’t he, and show you how to be brave. We think he’s achieved that.”
Upon seeing Georgia and Cooper, Danny was overwhelmed with emotion. He knelt down to envelop both in a heartfelt embrace, asking his son during the hug, “Are you crying happy tears as well?”
Settling down with his family, Danny exclaimed: “That was such a shock! Look at me! ” Overcome with joy, he reflected: “That was the best surprise I think I’ve ever had in my life, just an amazing feeling.”
Cooper playfully remarked to his dad: “Luckily you haven’t been voted out yet! ” leading Danny to inquire, “Have you been telling everyone at school to vote for me? ” to which Cooper gave an affirmative nod, reports the Express.
The touching moment also allowed Danny to celebrate Georgia’s birthday with her in the jungle, thrilled to share part of her special day together.
During an endearing family moment on ‘I’m A Celebrity’, Georgia said to Danny as they admired Cooper: “He’s doing a smashing job isn’t he, sweetheart? We’re very proud. We’ve been watching non-stop haven’t we?”
Reflecting on memorable experiences, Georgia brought up: “You as a pencil!” Holding Cooper close, he shared with her and Georgia: “Honestly this place is an amazing place, even though it’s been challenging. It just makes you realise how much you love people and you put stuff into perspective.”
As they parted ways, Cooper clung to his father, expressing: “I don’t wanna let go!” The tender farewell between father and son touched viewers’ hearts, who quickly expressed their feelings across social platforms.
